The formula used for this is: weight/(1.0278-(.0278*reps))


One thing you want to remember about maxing out is to make sure you warm up your muscles properly before lifting. Do not lift a lot of weight when your muscles are cold. I recommend doing your shoulder warm-ups and then doing at least a set of 8-10 or so. This will help to prevent injuries.
